Longtime radio announcer for the NFL’s New England Patriots Gil Santos nearly lost his life to pneumonia, COPD and blood poisoning in 2012. The Voice of the Patriots for 36 years, when Santos arrived at Life Care Centers of America for rehabilitation, his doctors anticipated six months of rehab. With the help of Life Care therapists, Santos was able to return home much sooner - in just six weeks - and perform his duties as the Voice of the Patriots for one final season before retiring.
