Worcester native Andy Laska’s storied career in New England athletics is highlighted in the 2017 edition of Life Care LEADER magazine, a publication of Life Care Centers of America.

Laska was a freshman guard on Holy Cross’ 1947 National Championship team. Coached by “Doggie” Julian, the 12-man roster also included future NBA stars Bob Cousy and George Kaftan....

Life Care Center of Auburn associate bikes in MS awareness race to Cape Cod

On June 24-25, 2017, Kelly Dumas, occupational therapist at Life Care Center of Auburn, Massachusetts, will be participating in the Bike MS: Cape Cod Getaway to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis.

Bike MS: Cape Cod Getaway is a 150-mile bike ride that goes from Boston to Provincetown on Cape Cod. This race is the largest MS ride in New England. Dumas has been participating in the ride for more than 10 years....

 

Life Care Center of Auburn hosts celebration for first responders

On Sept. 10, 2016, Life Care Center of Auburn, Massachusetts, said “thank you” in a big way to first responders in the community.

The facility hosted a cookout luncheon and an outdoor carnival for local police, firefighters, EMS workers and other civil servants. The entry was decorated with blue ribbons, and the first responders enjoyed a free meal and the chance to visit with residents and associates.

Life Care Center of Auburn volunteer recognized with national award

Life Care Centers of America recognized the outstanding volunteer contributions of Pauline Lajoie with its Carl W. Campbell Wind Beneath My Wings Award on Aug. 24, 2015. 

The award, commemorated by a crystal sculpture of an eagle in flight, was given during the company’s annual management meeting in Cleveland, Tennessee.
