Life Care Center of Auburn, Massachusetts, recently achieved a deficiency-free state survey.
To pass the state survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. These survey visits are unannounced and address not only nursing care and resident safety, but also patients’ rights, food services, administration and the facility’s environment. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.
“Teamwork, commitment and dedication to caring for those we serve helped us achieve this success,” said Joanne Bruell, executive director. “Every staff member in every department on every shift contributed to this achievement and deserves the recognition of their hard work.”
The survey took place Oct. 26-31.
“The surveyors complimented us on our clean, homelike environment and felt like our residents feel safe and content,” said Carrie Cross, admissions and marketing director. “They noted that the staff seems to genuinely care about everyone here.”
